Located in Bon Tempe Meadow on Mt. Tamalpais, a short drive north of the Golden Gate, Meadow Club holds the distinction as the first course in North America designed by famed course architect, Dr. Alister MacKenzie, in his first collaboration with Robert Hunter. Dr. MacKenzie would go on to design many great golf courses in North America such as the Valley Club (with Hunter), Cypress Point Club, Crystal Downs, Pasatiempo, and Augusta National. Between 1999 and 2010 Meadow Club undertook the MacKenzie Signature Program to return the course to a closer representation of MacKenzie’s original 1927 design. Since 2010, the Club has continued to effect changes that present the golf course in a manner consistent with our unique place among the works of Dr. MacKenzie.
